The sights and flavours of Georetown
Some snaps from our time in Georgetown!
A historical heritage house that we visited:
An old man playing some kind of ancient/rare Chinese instrument:
Food!
Cendol being made and ready to eat; believe it or not, it's actually a dessert!
Chai tea fresh from the hawker, served in a plastic bag (classy!):
The Chinese festival that we caught whilst in town!
Mooncake displays:
The "Shanghai fashion show" (check out the hosts!):
And my personal fave, the "golden oldies" karaoke!

Yogya
Snaps from our time in Yogyakarta, in Java, Indonesia!
Batik:
Our hostel repping the Bintang at sunset, just like everywhere else in Indonesia:
Some of the foodlings we got our hands on whilst there...
Sappan tea (a kind of fruity, woody concoction with sugar lumps on the side)
What else...?
A Javanese snack of fried veg fritters (can't remember the name!):
Some local cake-type pastries. They looked kind of like a donut, but were dense and sweet inside, and came in different flavours such as "strawberry", "chocolate", and (yes, that's right) "cheese"...
And finally some snaps of the (not so mean) streets of Yogya:

Bali baby!
Some snaps of our time in Ubud!
The little offerings that were placed outside the door every morning and afternoon:
A selection of some of the delicious food that we sampled!
Myself posing in front of the (very elaborate) entrance to our accommodation!
