24 hours in Singapore

Marina Bay

Gardens by the Bay

Malaka

Here are some shots from Malaka, our third stop, and possibly my favourite so far.

On arrival, what did we see peeping out over the motorway into the city? Only a blooming Tesco's. I almost felt at home!

The view along the river:

The Hindu parade that we stumbled upon after dinner:

The red lanterns that line the streets in Chinatown:

Our hostel dorm:

Some of the (very spicy!) chicken masala I ate in Little India:

Just in case you were unsure about how far away from you Malaysia is:

Monday 26 August 2013

Interesting snacks....

These are fascinating (yes, that IS BBQ squid...), but it is not greatly appreciated when you have someone chewing on this in front of you on the bus! Fishy...

And of course, Melissa and I couldn't resist a few punny jokes with these bad boys...

Doesn't everyone build a boat sandcastle when they hit the beach...?

Tioman

Some snaps of the island scenery:

Monkeys!

No, this is not a post about Melissa and I getting into trouble...

Check out our furry friends, who roamed the island of Tioman as the pleased, stealing crisp packets and juices from unwitting tourists!

Our ride to Tioman Island

Check out the itsy bitsy teeny weeny plane we got to Tioman Island - and there was an itsy bitsy airport there to match (this view is from the "arrivals hall")!

Melissa's sensible sandals

Very practical! Also, when did walking sandals become so trendy, with their purple plaited straps??

Henna

So fun, and only £2 - bargain!

Meet our mascot!
